On February 1st, 2021 we launched the Best Buy HOPE (Helping Our People in Emergencies) Fund.  The HOPE Fund is a partnership between Best Buy and the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation. The charitable fund helps Best Buy employees manage unforeseen financial hardships.

  • Applicants must be a Best Buy, Inc. employee (or a subsidiary of Best Buy) with at least one year of collective service to Best Buy.
  • Applicants must face personal financial hardship due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Examples of available assistance include medical and mental health expenses not covered by insurance, assistance with funeral expenses, and moving expenses due to unsafe living situations.
  • The incident that caused financial hardship must have occurred within 150 days of application.
  • The incident that causes the financial hardship must be unexpected, outside the applicant’s control, and does not qualify for disaster relief funds.
