It’s hard to let go of our trustees — especially when they’ve served for so long. We stay in touch with them and they with us and continue to graciously provide valuable counsel when we need their expertise.
Al Lenzmeier
Al served on the RMSFF board of trustees from 2013 – 2021.
A longtime colleague of our founder, Dick Schulze, Al held many leadership roles at Best Buy and served on the board for Envoy Medical Corp. and American TeleCare, Inc. and brought his love for and commitment to youth organizations, complementing the foundation’s mission. A philanthropist in his own right, Al has been very generous with many Minnesota non-profits.
Al continues to serve on board committees and advise the foundation as appropriate; we are grateful he is always within reach.
Bob Bruininks
A professor and president emeritus of the University of Minnesota, Bob joined the board of trustees of the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation in 2013.
He served as the 15th president of the University of Minnesota from 2002 to 2011, was a leading advocate for accountability and reform in higher education, has ties with Minnesota business and industry and has served the university in some capacity for over 40 years. Bob brought that expertise to our board.
Bob continues to serve on board committees and advise the foundation as appropriate. We are grateful he stays within reach.
